Back from the Brink Fall Week of Action
Back from the Brink is hosting a Week of Action focused on highlighting and growing congressional leadership on nuclear disarmament starting Monday, September 21 — the annual International Day of Peace and ending Saturday, September 26 —the United Nations Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.
The Week of Action kicks off our fall push to secure 20 more cosponsors for House Resolution 317 and Senate Resolution 323 by the end of the year.
These two Back from the Brink resolutions currently have 70 cosponsors, and articulate our five policy solutions to prevent nuclear war and achieve a world free of nuclear weapons.
Why does this matter? Congress has a vital role in building the support and leadership needed to advance nuclear disarmament and risk reduction efforts. Every new cosponsor adds a visible voice in Congress calling for action on nuclear disarmament, helping build momentum and political pressure needed to make nuclear disarmament a congressional priority.
Each day will have recommended actions in support of our fall campaign goal. That being said, you can take the actions below any day this week!
